Mr. Abdurrahman Bin Muhammad Al-Rashed

Chairman of Alinma Investment Board


Mr. Al-Rashed holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from King Saud University.  He is the Chairman of Tadawul Real Estate Company board, and has several board memberships in a number of companies in the Kingdom.  He has over 20 years of experience with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), during which he was appointed as head of Equity Control Department, which was the fruitful beginning of the capital market.

After establishing the Capital Market Authority (CMA), he served as general manager of CMA head office and was appointed as the CMA deputy chairman until 2016.  Mr. Al-Rashed is also a member of various committees, the most important of which is heading the supreme joint committee to separate the functions and jurisdictions of CMA and the Saudi stock Exchange Co. (Tadawul), as well as heading the project committee for improving and developing Tadawul system.

 Abdulmohsen A. Al-Fares

Mr. Al-Fares is a board member of Alinma Bank. In a career spanning close to 30 years, Abdulmohsen started his professional career at Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) in 1983 where he worked for 18 years in various positions which the last one was the Director of the General Accounting Department. He worked at Ernst & Young in Los Angeles, USA for two years (1993-1995). He was also the Director General of the Department of Zakat and Income tax (DZIT) for four years (2001-2004), and Managing Director for Financial Services of Abdul Latif Jameel Group (ALJ) for more than two years (2004-2006). a board member of Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, a board member of the Saudi Association for Certified Public Accountant (SACPA), and the chairman of Alinma Tokio Marine Corp. Mr. Al-Fares is also a member of the audit committee of Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC), and a member of Riyadh Regional Council. He is a former board member of many corporations and organizations such as SABIC for 8 years, the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), the Saudi Agricultural Fund (SAF), and the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) for 8 years. He is also a former member of ICD executive committee, SABIC Finance committee, SABIC HR committee, a former chairman of Accounting Standards Committee (ASC) in Saudi Arabia, and a former chairman of the Accounting Standards Committee in the GCC. He was the chairman of the audit committee of ICD for 8 years. Mr. Al-Fares has chaired and participated in several specialized committees, work teams for both private and public sector. He participated and attended several conferences and seminars specialized in finance, accounting, investments, management, and information systems. He holds a degree in Accounting from King Saud University in 1982, and MA degree in Accounting from Western Illinois University (WIU) USA in 1989, and obtained his CPA in 1995.

Mr. Mazin Baghdadi

CEO and Managing Director

Mazin Baghdadi is the CEO and Managing Director at Alinma Investment. During his 20 years in investment management, Mazin worked at Riyad Bank, Saudi Fransi Capital, and HSBC Saudi Arabia before joining Alinma. At HSBC, he held the position of Head of Investment Management. Throughout his career, he managed both local and GCC mutual funds and discretionary portfolios in equities and fixed income. Mazin holds BS degree in Finance from KFUPM and has successfully attended specialized courses, in Business Management delivered by INSEAD The Business School for the World.

Eng. Yosef Alzamil

Board Member


Mr. Al-Zamel holds a bachelor degree in chemical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.  He is the current deputy chairman and managing director of the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) board (Manama, Bahrain).  He is also the counselor of the Saudi minister of energy, industry and minerals resources.  Mr. Al-Zamel has over 35 years of experience through which he has held several administrative and leadership positions in local and international companies, such as: The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), and Shell Chemicals Company.  Mr. Al-Zamel is also a member of several board memberships, including his board membership with SAIB Europe, and chairing the board of SABIC India Pvt. Ltd. 


Dr. Saad Al-Ghamdi

Board Member

Dr. Al-Ghamdi got a PhD in Accounting in 1980 from the University of Oklahoma, US; an MSc in Accounting in 1974 from the same university; and a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration with excellent grade (first class honors) from King Saud University in 1971. Dr. Al-Ghamdi was an assistant professor in Accounting Department at the College of Business Administration, King Saud University (1401-1406). He occupied several positions at a number of Saudi companies, including the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Public Transport Company, and Abdul Latif Jameel Company Ltd. Dr. Al-Ghamdi is also a member of numerous other boards, including his previous position as Vice Chairman at Alinma Bank board.

Mr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Khalifa

Board Member

Chief Executive Officer of Al Inma Bank, has extensive experience in the banking sector spanning more than 27 years, where he held leadership positions in several banking entities such as Samba Financial Group, Al-Rajhi Bank and Banque Saudi Fransi, during which he worked on implementing many development and transformation programs in banking. Mr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Khalifa, holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Saud University and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Miami in the United States of America.
